See Rummaging Homunculus.
Are these inspired by that other Alchemy (alchemist homonculus) with the alchemy counters? Hmm, I can't seem to find it - was it deleted?
Anyway, I like these - they remind me of Innistrad Skaab. Seems like a lightweight mechanical theme that could either be expanded upon or just be a minor draft archetype to go for.
This is pretty wordy though for a common. If creating Gold tokens is common place in the set it's less of an issue. Creating an action keyword for Gold creation might be worth a consideration also in that case.
Development wise, this looks underpowered to me - compare for example to Sailor of Means. However, do note that I consider that card a color bend and this Alchemist card functionally seems much more acceptable imo with the additional requirement.

Yeah, I wanted to figure out what I would do with the concept of these two tribes working with each other towards making Gold, finding the Philosopher's Stone etc.
...
I didn't look up Pirates for reference, but I definitely was thinking of them when trying to make ramping/fixing tokens more palatable in blue.
Treasure now is technically keyworded - I will have to look up what the rules exactly say about that now.
