Reminds me of Night Dealings. Nine counters is an awful lot to reach, even for repeated Diabolic Tutors. I think this would be fine at about 4.

Um. So... in the absence of any imitate effects, this is 4 mana for a 2/1, which once it loses summoning sickness you can pay 2 mana and sacrifice it to kill a creature?
That's awful.
Even with imitate effects it's still normally card disadvantage.
Cabal Therapy was cheaper and had flashback. Oh, except that said "nonland"... This should probably say "nonland" as well, as it's not nice to make someone ditch their lands before they've had their turn 2.
This strikes me as a set in which Hint of Insanity might actually be worth playing. But probably not. Perhaps if it was instant speed.
