All of the current 2 color pairing cards are designed to work well with the treasonous mechanic. Since the most common source of a treasonous proc would be from combat damage I chose the end of your combat.
I could see the argument as to why it should be less restrictive. I guess originally I feared that the effects may be too powerful if it was open to proc any time. I would love to hear your input on this?
Why at the end of your combat? It seems like an odd time to do it.
Either end of your turn, or end of opponent's combat would seem more natural.
Yeah a lot of this is still WIP. The initial idea behind the three color pairings was to have an associated spirit, but it seems to be restricting the design so for now it is mostly a placeholder. I felt like not having the reminder text displayed because a lot of these already have a lot text on them.
The original idea for treasonous was that you could have a lot better abilities on creatures with low CMC by giving it the penalty of costing life if used in combat. Later in the game this life loss would be used as an engine with different cards.
Totally has space for reminder text on that new keyword.
I'm not a fan of treasonous, but treasonous + bolster has some interesting implications.
Also, a "Tribe-Beast" should probably have creature type Beast.
