Basic Land Cycle
I suppose the easiest fix is to trigger only on combat damage. This is not Ixalan; there is no need for this to follow exactly the enrage pattern.
Meh. I'll have to ponder this a bit. I'm thankful for the input.
I do like the idea of this. I did on the green version (though the ability is much more red, so this makes more sense). The normal use of this charging off to the front lines, then throwing spikes everywhere, harming ally and enemy alike, is very fun.
Sadly - two of these with a Darksteel Plate (or any other kind of 'won't die this turn' effect) will cause an infinite loop and everything halts, since it's non-optional. Which... well, the easy fix is just to add a 'may' which would hurt the flavour, sadly.
The even easier fix is still just to make this legendary so that you really have to jump through hoops to get the infinite loop set up.
Now I want to do Polyraptor things to it
I don't know. It only wipes the board of creatures. And it costs ten mana to do by yourself. I felt exploding like that was part of the charm.

added "all the way to the surface" to the flavor text
This card came about because I remembered the Plant Zombie tokens, so Zombies are a thing on Phlea...
I feel undergrowth makes flavor sense. Using the ability word? Maybe.
Fits best with milling?
Two of these make the entire world explode. This seems like the kind of design Wizards would put "triggers only once each turn" on
Colorshifted Wandering Thornmaw.
I just liked the idea of a walking cactus-beast so much for Phlea.
o:"your hand" >> "its owner's hand"
see above
Let's see if I can do better...
was: "Each player mills three cards. Exile a card from each player's graveyard.
Scry 2. If you exiled a land card from each player's graveyard this turn, draw a card."
Again kinda wordy and weirdly modular card for a common. Durdling factor is high. Not a fan personally.
Basically just a card with multiple steps that definitely hasn't happened at common yet.
To support crop rotation there need to be ways to get land cards into the graveyard, but at the same time there is reason to want to benefit from removing them.
Rotate crops card for black. Common noncreature card.
"from the battlefield" is redundant rules text too clarify intent.
I am going pregnant wth the iea to put Saprolings into all colors.
I think it is fancy to re-use the token from Reach of Branches.
Dash being red-green this is one of the more obvious ideas for a green creature with dash.
Greater Treetop Ambusher.
Knightly Valor but s/vigilance/lifelink. Or a double-sized Squire's Devotion. Either way, looks like a very sensible common design.
Something to rest on...
Green-white Aura-theme?
