Colors are fine from flavor perspective. Of the 3 poltergeist in MTG, 2 are and 1 is .
Personally, I think Fire Imp is a solid card, so yeah, this is busted.
Debuffs are a bit hard to recommend when I'm not 100% what do you consider be the important parts here. Does it need to have deathtouch? Can it be multicolored? etc
If we only change the mana cost and the keep the card as it is, I would say would not seem too unreasonable. Still rather strong though. It could also be mono- since the damage thing is just kind of a design show-off and it could just say "destroy target creature" instead (unless damage prevention is a huge deal in its environment of which I am highly doubtful).
Was the first card I made for the set, and was still learning the interface. Its a regular creature.
Reason for it being Rakdos/Red is for flavor. Poltergeists in this set are the vengeful or fearful spiritual remains of those killed in the plane's apocalypse.
Balance concerns are totally valid. Should it be bumped to rare or is there a debuff you had in mind?
This is insanely good and also slaps the color pie in the face. to remove a creature and you get a 2/1 deathtoucher with haste? Okayyy.... The drawback being that there has to be a creature for it to target or it kills itself.
Does basic mean you can include any number of these?
