After reflection, I've removed the sigils (2-mana color pair rocks) from the set. I want the set to play more like a normal expansion than like MM2017, and having that many 2-mana rocks is rather format-warping. Plus, this set does not have enough gold cards to merit them anyway.
Good suggestion. That definitely points more toward a late-game archetype, which is what I want GU to be.
That's fair. Still trying to figure out the exact skeleton that I want, so I'll keep this in mind as I work on it.
Oh yeah. This is way too overpowered. You can also compare to Argentum Armor. This version of the card is kind of a placeholder until I figure out a good design.
Another apt comparison would be Lux Cannon. While it takes less than
mana to get going, it takes four rounds (three tap rounds + the actual payoff round) before it can blast anything and then it needs to start recharging again.
Yes, it can also Stone Rain, but the likelihood of you doing that with it is like less than 10 % (at least from my experience). That usually means you are making someone's mana screw worse, that is, you are already on the winning side so it doesn't really even matter that much.
Yeah, this is very very cheap for its effect. This is repeatable destruction at
(and possibly at
if you can find a way to keep a creature alive).
To me it seems a bit nonsensical that you could throw this basically into any black deck and get rid of artifact and enchantment rather easily.
That, and this is just sickeningly powerful. While I'm definitely not a fan of artifacts (colorless cards) destroying permanents left and right, at least those effects have usually been kept behind
+ mana investments;
Argentum Armor, Universal Solvent, etc.
Comparable to Drownyard Temple IMO. I wouldn't say common is the place for this card.
Neat. Distantly reminds me of Phyrexia's Core and Moorland Haunt.
This is a strictly better Jalum Tome for whatever that's worth. Still, given that it's comparable to Crystal Ball, I would say this card is likely overwhelming at common.
If I recall correctly, "Iamur" set by Apoquallyp at MTG Salvation had this cute card that was rather similar that I would personally prefer over this:
> name
: Add
to your mana pool.
> Creature – Turtle
>
> 0/2
> If you would draw a card, instead scry 1, then draw a card.

Note: "Whenever" is used for triggered while "if" is used for replacement effects.
Removed black. Although Hoid has some black tendencies, Wit doesn't exhibit them that much.
Added color pair ability
