I know this is just a colorshift of Mana Leak (which is kinda insane in its own right), but I feel like this would be much more interesting, balanced, flavorful, and less of a color pie concern if it somehow told the opponent of it's existence beforehand. Aka something along the lines of Silences Yet Unmoved which is a design I basically stumbled upon.
Maybe like that one mechanic where you first cast/place the spell into exile (face-up revealed) and then "actually" cast it from there.
EDIT1:
> Seal of Disapproval
> Enchantment
> Sacrifice ~: Counter target spell unless its controller pays .
> Create a 5/5 red Dragon creature token with flying, then add to your mana pool.
So like Volcanic Dragon but can help you cast your Ball Lightnings. Note that it would cost 6 but give 5 so it wouldn't be entirely free (you couldn't chain them). Also a neat thing with in the cost, creates a 5/5 and adds 5 to your mana pool.
Dragonfire has been chosen as the third Card of the Day commemorating card #200 for this collection. It now features an illustration by Anna Podedworna.
Create a 5/5 red Dragon creature token with flying.
Add to your mana pool.

After the previous featured card showed of some controversial use of affinity, how about another take on a mechanic infamous for being broken?
Dragonfire is not only the card that grows this collection of card designs to 200 cards. It is also the rare member of a small group of red cards that I designed which try a differnet approach towards "free spells". The theme previously was seen on nine cards of Artifacts-block e. g. Rewind, Time Spiral and Palinchron.
Where the old designs untapped a number of lands equal to their converted mana costs, my versions directly add their mana cost to their controller's mana pool and avoid issues with lands that can add more than a single mana to your mana pool.
Another aspect that allows the old cards to be abused is the fact that permanents with the mechanic untap the lands with a triggered ability upon entering the battlefield rather than as part of resolving the spell. This makes them exquisite targets of Flicker-effects. To avoid that my creature is a token created by a spell.
As a reference for costing these spells I studied multiple existing ritual cards. I took the cost a spell that would create the same amount of mana as my card into account when costing these spells. I have not managed to break these cards yet, but that could be due to lack of trying.

Note: Research why I chose to write the trigger condition for the delayed triggered ability after the effect. Standard wording?

EDIT2:
For my Silmarillion set I went with Unfathomable Depths.
I could see this being a common. Would be very nice in an enchantment heavy/focused environment. I also would consider pushing the mana cost down to
.
Hmmm... I'll might make use of this in the Silmarillion set: it has enchantment themes + a
limited archetype focused around lifegain triggers to boot.
It definitely should make the sacrifice an additional cost. Recurring Nightmare is super broken.
Doesn't look that comparable to Recurring Nightmare since you can throw this at instant speed and if you have no creatures in play, it's Zombify with flash (as the sac isn't part of the cost per se). Closer to cards such as Makeshift Mannequin and Rescue from the Underworld.
Cool name, cool card. Somewhat similar to Spawning Breath.
This seems like a very bad idea. Tolarian Winds is pretty strong as far as I know.
I would modify this into:
> Dragonfire

> Sorcery (rare/uncommon?)
> Create a 5/5 red Dragon creature token with flying, then add

to your mana pool.
