This is an old design I had for Adolin, back when he was at rare. It feels a little underwhelming for a mythic, but I want to see if we can preserve the flavor of him dueling for shards.

Is this good? The First Ideal still helps flip him, and you can use him as a solid card in either Boros or Izzet but he's better in Jeskai

Yes please. Balance it as needed, go ahead and make it all damage. The only thing I want you to keep is the hybrid mana for adding investiture. That way players can run him with Boros or Izzet, not just Jeskai.

I thought of having investiture as t trigger, so that the First Ideal could transform him into a radiant, seemed appropriate.

Something along those lines should work. Can I edit for balance? Also, I purposefully didn't specify combat damage because the damage that made him "snap" was the highstorm.
