Trying to figure out a good design for Pattern. This design seems interesting and flavorful -- the creature can only be caught when it's in the same place as whoever it's impersonating.
Actually, while Syl's transform design is interesting, Pattern's is currently sloppy. Why have him transform at all? Just put the unblockable ability on the front face. Either do that or make the transform relevant.
Also, Shallan should probably be monoblue, so you don't have to play Grixis to put these two cards in the same deck. They should play well together.
Huh. The timing of this is unclear. As written right now, ~ becomes a copy of something, then transforms immediately. Is this supposed to transform at the end of turn?
Nono, read it again, jmg. This is an Aura, and it's the enchanted creature which becomes a copy of something. This works quite nicely and has a quite evocative flavour even to someone who doesn't know anything about Stormlight.
Oh, whoopsie! My mind turned to mush as soon as I hit that line, and didn't recover fast enough to realize this doesn't have a p/t.
Hey, thanks, Alex!
Fixed some problems, but now it's too wordy.
