In a normal set I'd say it'd be better to have two common creatures with the ability (at different sizes) than a creature and an Aura. In a Cube you don't have the same issues of comprehension, but this is still a pretty bad card. (I'd expect the
 to be at least 2/2, given that Aid does nothing unless you spend more mana.)
