Haku was a pup when Boseiju began growing in response to Towashi's intrusion, and is the last remaining tanuki in the Jukai forest from that era. While the city can't build in the forest, the Order of Jukai still maintains shrines and temples there, and they traditionally leave an offering for Haku before any major construction. He hasn't been seen in a number of years, but many repairs were needed after the Invasion. Several monks have reported seeing something large out of the corner of their eye while working, and turning back only for the offering to have disappeared.
