Agreed. Admittedly the first five sets have a lot of good reprints for a bible set. Some are still rather playable, like Flood. And some, like Leviathan, not so much. You can always make a better Leviathan, though.
Oh yes, good point! I hadn't realised leviathan was a whole creature type with dozens of cards. Hopefully some would fit :)
Fun fact, I only belatedly learned that there are several references to leviathan in the Bible which seem to come from sightly different traditions. One strand is "defeated by God" either at the start of time (like Tiamat), or the end of time. God boasts extensively to Job, " well can you kill leviathan? Can you?" But another tradition based on a reference in Palms is that God made leviathan to play with. In first-ish century Jewish tradition, they took this as far as, God divided the day into fractions, one maintaining the world, one teaching children, and one where Metatron ruled in God's stead while God played with leviathan. I just love that people thought THAT was the most important thing :)
Yep, this is a set based in biblical stories, legends and other such goodies. I am looking to reprint a bunch of old cards, a lot of them would fit really nicely with the mechanics and draft feel I'm going for anyway. Thanks for pointing out Flood. Must have missed that card, it would fit really nicely.
Oh is this a bible set? Savannah lions was such a great reprint for it.
