If it's a common, then probably. Unless half the set is about sacrificing creatures, then you're going to want to double up on the functionality of your cards, so there are less dead draft picks.
Uncommon or higher, I'd say it's fine. It's a nice effect, and, as a player, I'd rather have that nice effect stick around in the form of a hard to remove enchantment, then have the option to gain 2 life from a creature.

brand new to making cards- should I just stick a 1/1 body on it without changing the cost, or what?
