Creature – Shapeshifter
You may have Ancient Draconic Clone enter the battlefield as a copy of any creature on the battlefield. If the chosen creature is face down, reveal it, and Ancient Draconic Clone enters the battlefield as a copy of that creature as though it wasn't face down.

On Just a second:

Note: This card should be super unfun, and may be miscosted.

On Ancient Draconic Clone:

Note that right now Standard doesn't have easy ways to blink morphs. Just Rescue from the Underworld, Skybind and Triad of Fates. If there's a card that easily turns face up a huge monster then the entire Tarkir block has the pressure of not being able to print pushed big morph guys, which is obviously not worth it. The same happened with them shying away from good early living weapons because of Stoneforge Mystic, then changing their mind for Batterskull and then regretting printing such a powerful enabler. I figure they would either not print something like this in the same Standard or wait until the last set with morph or later so they can tweak if necessary.

On Ancient Draconic Clone:

What, because it gets a 6/6 with Abilities on turn 4 (or 3 with accel)? But you can do the same with Cloudshift, Turn to Mist, Momentary Blink etc.

On Ancient Draconic Clone:

If anyone in R&D has brought this up, I'm pretty sure Alex's interaction would kill the card way before they decide if it's cool or not. :P

On Ancient Draconic Clone:

Yep, if someone else has a Whetwheel face down and you choose to copy that morph with this, you'll get a Whetwheel. This is a pretty delightful variation on Clone.

The most potent use of it, of course, is turn 3 (or 2) huge morph like Akroma, Angel of Fury, then turn 4 this as a face-up Akroma.

On Ancient Draconic Clone:

Hmm - it's only revealed; so it's still a 2/2 morph creature - so the second part is still valid - and this enters play as a copy of a land or enchantment.

Seems like the wording should work! If it unmorphed it, that would probably be fiddlier.

On Ancient Draconic Clone:

Nice card! What about Lumithread Field and Zoetic Cavern though?

On Adaptative Predator:

Not sure if uncommon for complexity issues, but I like it uncommon because it would be interesting in Limited.

On Madenning Mindcrush:

It's a bit weird how selected discard is not just that but also perfect information. So I thought about a discard spell that could somehow again hide the information. Your opponent could be in a situation where you give him or her a better hand than he had, but at least you don't feel bad because you don't know, and most of the time ruining your opponent's plan for the next turns is pretty good.

Finally, I know some people love enablers for cards like Underworld Dreams.

On Bloodsoaked Valley:

A long time ago, I tried to make an uncommon dual land cycle by finding a restriction more tied to creatures (it was for a Pokémon set, I believe, which was very creature-centric). I reached this condition, but it was amazingly weak, so instead of just adding two colors it got to add any.

This new fancy ability word that just came out reminded me of the card.

It still creatures a strange pattern, because normally a creature-centric deck (especially if focused on attacking) wants the mana to cast said creatures, not later. But it's not impossible to have a modest manabase for your early drops and then follow it up with color-intensive spells. Maybe you only have white creatures in your one-drops and other multicolored creatures in 2 and 3.
