Well it does cost 5. Deep Analysis and Brain Geyser both suggest that's well within cost, even without the downside. With the downside; black gets to do this even cheaper.
Is it a spell you want at common? That's a better question.
Asking the real questions aren't you. This card and many others will be changing but I'm going to sit on it for a bit until I can see this all clearly.
I pointed out somewhere else how align and collaborate (two mechanics this set has that I personally would not put into the same set) both say "more creature types on a typeline are good"; a subtheme that says "but now more creature types on a creature means you are running the risk of playing overlapping creature types and get less out of Emissary of Miista" sends the wrong signal.
IS the question whether anyone noticed them or whether anything thinks they are good? I noticed them, and I don't necessarily object to shifting tribes into new colors, but the blue Goblins could use some justification and identity. It seems like an arbitrary and unnecessary choice and if you told me you'd replace all Goblins with Gnomes/Noggles/Efreets/Humans, I'd not be inclined to say the blue cards are getting a worse deal.
Prototype Testers is actually feeling like a Goblin card, but I didn't see that one until doing a search. The other three are cards that are "there" and I don't feel like I should have a strong opinion on them being Goblins.
Really, even if I care anough about the number of total creature types I have around enough to check whether I have reached five yet, I don't want to have to continue counting in case this gives me 7 or 8 life.
The static threshold of five is alright (if not my personal definition of fun - still might be worth checking how it plays). But the dynamic threshold cards are duds.

the existence of changelings does rather wreck this particular usage, yeah.
How about: Whenever a creature ETBs under your control, gain 1 life for each creature you control that doesn't share a type with it.
That would seem to capture the flavour (play lots of different creature types) without going stupid-high immediately.
Hello, 230 life courtesy of Woodland Changeling.

That is an explanation. But does that mean you are happy about what the card is rather than was?
Was supposed to cost 3UU not 3U
Archaeomancer upgrade?
Mono blue goblins anyone?
