Not sure it has the room for another conponent. It's already really pushing it complexity-wise, even for a rare.

Yup, that's good. Maybe move it to a rare and add something like "Remove a charge counter from a permanent you control: Invest ~."

Well, i figured that giving double strike to your creatures would be the equivalent of giving them at least +1/+0, and the two effects would balance a little. I suppose there are situations in which it would matter though.
