Legendary Creature – Eldrazi
Split Second
When you cast Emrakul, target opponent skips his or her next turn.
Flying, Protection from spells and abilities your opponents control, Mindbreaker 14
If Emrakul would be put into your graveyard form anywhere, put it in your library fifth from the top instead.

On Emrakul, The Shredded Veil:

Did you mean "veil?"

On Gestation Sire:

Shifted into Green.

Green is the best choice for this ability. Due to actually having Broodhatch Nantuko, Druid's Call, Hornet Nest and Saber Ants. It has no place in Black or Red for as follows:

Black has Nested Ghoul and White has Murder Investigation.

On Gestation Sire:

That's a great name, and a rather funky ability, but it looks like a green ability to me, or maybe black or blue. Anything but white, really.

On Voidwarped Eldrazi (On Hold):
  1. I was unclear in the goals. I was referring to 1-for-1 removal for creatures with 6+ toughness and have edited it to reflect this. While I haven't played Theros limited I have heard that worked in a way that removal spells simply didn't work against large creatures but killed everything else. (e.g. no Smite the Monstrous, Isolation Zone, Oblivion Strike, or Stonefury to kill an Eldrazi Devastator in limited but still have cards like Gideon's Reproach, Complete Disregard, Unnatural Aggression and Boulder Salvo which can't.)

  2. I believe the Eldrazi were concepted with an alien intelligence and motivations beyond our comprehension in addition to being a force of nature. Dreamstone Hedron's flavour text, their deliberately leaving oasis of life in the lifeless territory to lure the Zendikar into traps in the storyline and Kozilek hiding to ambush any attempt to re-use the heron network against them all point to the Eldrazi being intelligent force. The Eldrazi are supposed to have "It can think!" and "eerie unfathomable intelligence" theme going on, instead of being a mindless swarm.

  3. The dexterity issue is a good point and have changed the mechanic accordingly,

On Voidwarped Eldrazi (On Hold):

Comments referring to your design goals:

• Sets without good "1-for-1" removal are notoriously unfun in limited.
• The Eldrazi aren't meant to feel intelligent. They're supposed to feel like a force of nature. They are inspired by Lovecraft in some respects, but not beholden to behave like his creations.

Voidwarp should probably mill from the top of the library, for dexterity reasons.

On Blue one drop:

The goal is to enable a blue rush strategy. Maybe this card should have either flying or be uncommon instead but I think this fine. (The problem with making this Uncommon is blue already has an uncommo one drop creature, and while one drops creatures that can't be blocked are usually uncommon, Ghoulcaller's Bell and Goblin Fireslinger imply this should be alright)

On Oblivion Ring Variant:

Shifted the trigger to "may" and "until name leaves the battlefield" and lowered the bounce cost. The goal is to create a Cage of Hands variant that plays well with Processor's, not a one card combo.

Also the white devoid colours look different from the other four colours as they lack the faded textbook the other colours have.

On Oblivion Ring Variant:

Oh yeah, it's an unfortunate rules bug. As a designer, I'm against that. As a player, on the other hand, I run them to great effect in my Roon deck. I also appreciate that in multiplayer, you can't just kill me to get your thing back.

On Oblivion Ring Variant:

Yeah, I would have considered the loophole in the "exile/return" wording more of a misprint than actual functionality and errata'd it. But I suppose, they have a bit commitment to not doing functional errata, and I think that is an idea, but the price of that is sometimes printing new copies of cards. And I guess, it's not just a rules change -- it's clear what the old wording means, but if you have a copy of the card with that ruling, you couldn't tell by looking at it if they fixed the functionality, even if you can see that's how it OUGHT to work.

On Oblivion Ring Variant:

The abusable "Forever exiled" thing is an outright bug in the rules. It's a shame they only patched over it by releasing a different card :(
