This seems like a fun idea - Linger looks very good as opposed of what you'd expect from a Sorcery Creature. Second ability is a bit confusing - Are you casting the puddle from the battlefield?
Yes, that is the intent.
OK, I like the idea, though I'm also worried if it can be templated clearly enough. Is the idea that the normal sorcery effect happens when it first resolves, plus it enters the battlefield, then you get to cast it again if the opponent sacs/exiles (but not kills) it?
That is generally the idea. I'm going to change it up a bit to be more clear.
Previously a replacement effect that only happened when opponent did stuff
Thought: If a spell with permanent and nonpermanent types is copied by something like Twincast or Reverberate, it loses all nonpermanent types and the linger ability.
Obviously linger wouldn't be printed, but if I ever take these cards to a BOO draft or something that's a ruling I would consider in effect.
It would have to be a very interesting environment for me to consider using Linger as opposed to Evoke.
It would be relevant only if there were a sorcery-matters theme.
